Lisa C. Bertrand photoLisa Bertrand has over 10 years experience in a broad range of real estate services ranging from appraisal and valuation to construction cost auditing, market due diligence and accounting. She regularly assists in determining the product positioning for new proposed residential communities, by analyzing local demographic data and trends and conducting residential market surveys. She recently joined Real Estate Solutions Group as a Senior Analyst and has most recently worked on due diligence for a $500 million portfolio recapitalization and sale of medical office buildings and retail shopping centers. 

Prior to her work with RESG, Ms. Bertrand was a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young in their real estate consulting group located in Philadelphia. She led construction cost audits of a $2.2 million hospital and a $5.1 million museum expansion, conducted local and regional market and financial analyses for a proposed hotel conference/convention center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and analyzed developer proposals for a 700-acre site in Sayreville, NJ and the development of the air rights over the 42nd Street Bus Terminal in New York City for the Port Authority.

While at Arthur Anderson LLP in New York, Ms. Bertrand provided real estate consulting services to a broad base of clients including real estate appraisal, consulting, due diligence, property tax appeal, and purchase price allocation for all categories of commercial, industrial, and residential property. She performed the valuation of a $30 million portfolio of office, retail, and industrial buildings located in three states for bond securitization; developed the purchase price allocation attributable to building, tenant improvements and land, for a $750 million landmark New York City office building complex; and created an Excel-based model to determine the viability of equity funding the construction and development of a speculative office building with retail and residential condominiums in New York.

Ms. Bertrand’s experience also includes work as a Senior Internal Auditor for Corporate Property Investors in New York, leading the analyses of contractors' controls and procedures on expansion and renovation projects to determine violations of construction contract agreements and to identify over-billings, discovering material over-billings on construction projects valued at $4 million to $76 million, as well as other tenant audits.

Ms. Bertrand’s received a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University with a concentration in development and investment, a B.B.A. in Accounting from Hofstra University, and earned a CPA from New York State.
